Senior Poetry entry

Mumble, murmur, mutter
Though the subway it sneaks
Scheming in the shadows
It whispers its taunts
It haunts
Provoked by prejudice
The devious animal of deceit disguises itself and dares to spread words of distortion and deception
Misleading eager ears which patiently attend
Truth, the only thing it fears, turns and runs
It is a beast on the loose
Biting and gnawing at confidence, halting only to refuel before it rears up for its last attack
It moves like fire
Continuing to rage until it runs out of food
It feeds on lies
