Life's full of mysteries
a wayward arrow on a rose stem
a young girl in her teens who sees the sky as green
a teenage girl knitting a world of fear
a baby smiling up at you
a young mother who knows not what to do
a baby who senses something's askew
a child who draws a picture of her mother and her slef beside a tiny house
a mother out all night working to provide
a little girl alone waiting by the door for her mother to arrive staring back into the night
as people wander by
a teacher wonders why a little girl is always so shy
a girl with long blonde hair is smart
a mother finds a different job and no longer words late into the night
a teenage girl is happy now
a mother hopes her daughter does not make the same mistake she made that night the sky was green
a mother remembers not leaving that drink alone for long
a mother remembers feeling strange after finishing the rest of it off
a mother does not remember what happened after that nor does she forget the significance of that night and how it changed her life
a mother is glad to have her daughter of twenty-one though
a mother and her daughter each know how difficult it had been
a mother and her daughter have a bond of love and respect
Put your mind to what you need and find what's in between to lift your wings to fly
Beyond the arrow does the rose grow until its destination is reached will it stop to look beyond.
