Little Red Riding Cloak By Brenton Martin 2003

Once upon a time, there lived a little girl who always wore a red cloak; therefore, she was always called Little Red Riding Cloak.

One day she went for a walk. A little later on she was rudely interrupted by her Mother on her phone telling her to come home immediately. When Little Red Riding Cloak got home, her Mother told her to take some cookies to Grandma. Little Red Riding Cloak liked Grandma so she was obliged to go.

So off she went but her Mother warned her not to go into the magical forest. So being your average teenage adolescent of course unknown to the average adult (or might just forgotten), she went against her better judgement and went into the magical forest. As she walked she thought of a song and it went as follows:

HI HO HI HO,
It’s off to see Grandma I go,

…….. and so on and so forth.

Suddenly some dwarfs jumped out of the bushes and one of them said, “Neat song you got there, would you be willing to sell the rights”. As the dwarf said this, he produced a handful of gold from his pocket. On seeing this Little Red Riding Cloak produced a piece of paper and a song manuscript (she knew getting the rights to this song would be good (her parents thought it was a waste) and signed the song over to the Dwarfs and in return received her Gold.

Little Red Riding Cloak kept on her way and not long after saw three little pigs being bullied by a wolf. Little Red Riding Cloak hated bullies so she picked up a rather large stick, hid it behind her back, and called out to the wolf, "Hey you big bully why don't you pick on someone your own size".

When the wolf heard this, he smiled and ran at Little Red Riding Cloak. When he was just in range, Little Red Riding Cloak let her stick fly. By the time it was over the wolf was little more than a rather battered and bruised lump of fur. The pigs thanked Little Red Riding Cloak and she set off again.

After walking for a little while, Little Red Riding Cloak came to a river and in the middle of that river was a Ginger Bread Man climbing further and further up a crocodile’s nose. As she watched, the crocodile smiled broadly then "snap" in one big bite the ginger bread man was swallowed whole. Little Red Riding Cloak thought this was very mean and so pulled out her mobile phone and dropped it into the water. This totally fried the croc and Little Red Riding Cloak walked off with a smug look on her face.

Finally, she left the magic forest, only to find herself only a little way from grandmas. Little Red Riding Cloak knocked on granny's door and was welcomed by the smiling face of grandma. Little Red Riding Cloak told granny all about her adventures. Suddenly the doorbell rang and granny went out to see who it was. At the door, there was a very angry looking wobbly wolf and a even angrier crocodile. Granny soon took care of them with a beach umbrella. When she was done, a Woodchopper ran over to see what all the commotion was about just then the press appeared and the woodchopper got all the glory.
