It was a fine day for Peri and Shane. Today they were going in a … ROCKET!!!!!!!!!!!! The sun was shining and they were ready to go. The rocket was called “THE BUTTERFLY BLASTER’’. It was beautiful. Up at the very point it was red with green and blue dots. In the middle it was yellow with the words BUTTERFLY BLASTER in orange. Down the bottom it was blue with purple stripes. “Hey, can I come too?” It was little Tyler, he was 5. “Well, we are 14, it’s too dangerous. Maybe when you are older, OK?” said Peri. When they were ready to take off, it started pouring down with rain. When they were walking home Shane pointed out “Hey I think we should visit Tyler, he was very upset with us.” Maybe I should tell you what they looked like. Shane had black hair, blue eyes. Peri had blonde hair, green eyes. They were both very tanned, not because they sunbaked, but because when they went up in space they got a tan because they went too close to the sun. So they ran to Tyler’s house. When they got there his mum said, “I thought he was with you”. Just as she said that Tyler approached them with a sly look on his face. That morning both of them woke up at 5:30. So they rang each other. “I can’t sleep, I have a bad feeling.” complained Shane. “Try to sleep I will see you today. Goodbye.” instructed Peri. That morning Shane did not eat brekky. They found each other in the dressing room. “Something is fishy about Tyler. Did you see that cheeky look on his face?” supposed Shane. “Yes. He was very sly,” recognized Peri. When they were ready to go they could not find Tyler. “He must be upset with us, you know about yesterday”, explained Shane. “Hey, Shane and Peri, hurry up and get ready you ‘re leaving now”, urged Sebastian, the co-chief. “Oh, yea, we’re ready Sebastian,” replied Peri. Sebastian talked to them as they walked down the narrow corridor. “Hey Sebastian, where are they sending us today and how long will it take? Last time it took 5.3 hours and we got really bored,” said Peri. “Well, it will take probably, um, 3 years. But we have the fastest rockets so it will take 2 hours this time because you’re going to Jupiter, ok kids,” insisted Sebastian. They turned a sharp corner and entered a huge room. It was like an enormous garage. There were people with cameras, video cameras and reporters practicing their lines. Suddenly a pregnant woman came running up to Peri. “Bye sweetie, have fun and be safe. Take off your helmet so I can kiss you honey,” giggled Mrs Nash, Peri’s mum. Mrs Nash said it really loud and all the news reporters turned to them and filmed it happening. They were on T.V live! How embarrassing! “Mum, you’re embarrassing me! Mum we’re on TV live stop it,” whinged Peri. SMOOCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mrs Nash kissed Peri. “HAHA!” laughed Shane. “Shaney-wayney, come give me a smooch!” cooed Mrs Kishnie, Shane’s mum. Shane just groaned and gaped. MMWWAAHH. “EEWW!!!” groaned Shane. “Come on, hurry up and get on the ship,” commanded Sebastian. They started walking towards the rocket. Too many reporters were asking them too many questions. “Ok, no questions,” instructed Sally, a girl who helps them into the rocket. They thanked Sally and strapped themselves into their seats. A loud voice rang through the room and boomed “5,4,3,2,1 BLASTOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” The rocket suddenly lurched forward and then shot up through the sky and their skin flapped up on to their face and didn’t stop until they were 34546km away from earth. BLEH! Peri spewed up her breakfast all over the controls. “You are cleaning that, not me,” said Shane. Peri ran to the toilet and was in there for a while. “Peri, this happens every time. See I’m smart enough to not have breakfast and-’’. “Hey, shut up Shane,” yelled an angry Peri. “Jeez I’m tired. I’m going for a sleep,” yawned Shane. A few minutes later Peri heard a scream. “What’s wrong,” she yelled running into their room. Shane was sprawled on the ground, crying. “I forgot my teddy, Mr Dudley,” sobbed Shane. Peri just punched him and walked away, back to the toilet. Suddenly “TWIST! CRASH! BANG!” Peri came running out of the toilet and Shane came out of the bedroom. “What was that?” asked Peri, out of breath. “Someone has touched the remotes and the levers!” replied Shane. They looked at each other and ran into the control room where there was no-one other than… TYLER!!!! “Um, hi!” giggled Tyler. It was silent as the graveyard until Shane lost it and totally yelled “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” Tyler suddenly burst out crying. “Oh, it’s ok. Shhh stop crying,” said Peri, trying to calm him down. “I was going to surprise you!” sobbed Tyler. “Well we can’t take him back now,” sighed Shane. After a while they heard loud footsteps. “TYLER WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” yelled Shane. “Nothing I’m here!” answered Tyler. Suddenly they heard a loud crash. A young girl was standing in the rocket. “Sorry about the damage. I saw your ship passing by, I thought you were lost. Oh, my name is Tiana, Princess Tiana. I come from planet Annisecrow (anis-a-crow). Who are you?” she asked. “I am Peri, this is Shane and Tyler. We are from Earth. We are going to Jupiter,” replied Peri. Ok, now this girl had pink hair, blue lips, she was about 14, tanned, had purple eyes and wore a beautiful orange dress. No one was controlling the ship so it smashed into a huge comet. It sent the ship flying away. When it stopped the window broke! Peri was pulled out of the ship. Just as she was about to fall Shane caught her hand and pulled her back in. Tyler and Tiana stood there gaping at them. Peri hugged him and said thanks. Suddenly they heard a low growling sound. Tiana’s face went red and she was angry. “Why don’t you like me? I am prettier!” growled Tiana. Peri and Shane looked at each other. “EWW. I don’t like him that way. He’s my best friend” assured Peri. “Yeh that IS gross.” agreed Shane. “Don’t try that with me. You think you can fool me, don’t you? I know your secret.” insisted Tiana, and with that Tiana grabbed Peri by the hand and blew up the ship taking Peri with her! Shane was sent reeling onto planet Pluto, so did Tyler. “Ow, my head hurts!” complained Tyler. “What do we do now?” asked Tyler. “I guess we get off this planet and rescue Peri. How do we get off though?” replied Shane. Just as he said that a guy on a flying bike turned up. He had big lips, three hairs on his head, big brown eyes and was a fish sort of thing. His hands were actually flippers! “ARE YOU GUYS LOOKING FOR A RIDE?!” he boomed. They were stunned at first, and then Shane whispered, “Yes, actually, we are.” So they hoped onto the bike. “I’M MY WAY TO PLANET ANNISECROW, IS THAT OK?” he boomed. They nodded and held on for dear life. “Hold on, it’s a bumpy ride.” he laughed. Suddenly the bike started and they were off. The sky was beautiful and soothing. Soon in the distance Shane saw a magnificent planet. That must be planet Annisecrow, he thought. As they got closer Shane saw a person, or an alien, one was a chicken, another was a butterfly, a guy who was a tennis ball and a someone who looked like he was a pen. Cool huh? So the fish guy pulled over in the middle of a city called Gijlo. “Gee, thanks, um, fish dude!” thanked Shane and Tyler. Just as they were about to walk away and search for Peri, the fish yelled at them... “I didn’t fly you guys down here for nothing. Pay me!” “We don’t have any money though!” replied Shane. “I’m calling the cops. COPS, THESE PEOPLE DIDN’T PAY ME! Haha now you’re in for it!” he laughed. Suddenly huge robots came from nowhere and grabbed Shane and Tyler and pushed them into a truck. The robots started the truck and drove away. There was not that much room in the truck. It was about three metres wide and three metres long. The floor was freezing cold and Shane’s bum had frost bite. “I’m scared!” cried Tyler. Before Shane could say anything, the truck stopped and the robots grabbed them and pulled them out of the truck and into a huge castle. They were pulled into a big room and on the golden throne sat…Princess Tiana! She was watching some jesters telling some really lame jokes. One told a really dumb one and got taken away to prison. That’s one feisty girl, eh? “JESTERS GO AWAY NOWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!” she shrieked. At once the jesters left and she noticed Shane and Tyler standing there. “These men were caught cheating an Annisacrowian, what is their fate?” asked a robot. She smiled and commanded “GUARDS LEAVE THE ROOM!” At once they left the room. She walked over to them. “Huh. Hello, Shane. I see you have seen my castle. Hahaha. This is payback. That other girl was sucking you in, and she got HER FREAKING WAY. I’M DISAPPOINTED THAT YOU DON’T CHOOSE THE RIGHT GIRL!” she screamed. “I DON’T LIKE HER THAT WAY, ARE YOU STUPID OR SOMETHING?!” he yelled back. “OH, DON’T YELL AT ME!” she yelped. “GUARDS, TAKE THEM TO THE PRISON, NOW!” she commanded. The guards immediately came in and took them into a dark, smelly, dirty, squashy little room. It had lots of rats too. The guards pushed them in and locked the door. “Ugrr, it’s gross. There’s rotten food!” gurgled Shane. They were there for a long time, and they were getting bored. It was really quiet until Tyler yelled and jumped up. “UGRH! My, it, ouch. The rat bit me!” he cried. His arm was bleeding by now and it was swelling up fast! Listen to me, it was disgusting. I can’t believe I am writing about it in this story, but I’m just slowing you down. So if you don’t handle gross stuff skip this part. Damn, I’m doing it again. Ok I’ll try not to do it again. So Shane was freaking out and he ripped off some of his clothing and wrapped Tyler’s hand in it. They heard a tapping noise so they followed it. They came to a tunnel and saw a rat going down it. They followed it down the dark scary tunnel. Soon ahead they saw three tunnels, and the rat disappeared down one and they couldn’t remember which one. “Um, take the left one. Go hurry up Tyler!” suggested Shane. But Tyler was scared stiff, so Shane had to take the lead. They crept down the tunnel and a horrible smell filled the air. Poor Tyler was behind Shane and smelled it first. “Ew, Shane you farted!” choked Tyler. “Sorry, when I’m under pressure I do that!” muttered Shane. Apart from Tyler choking and spluttering, it was silent. Hey, we’ve passed this rock six times, Shane told himself. Just then they came back to the entrance, where they started. “Hey Tyler, we went the wrong way, now we’re going into the middle tunnel ok?” Shane called out to him. They heard a trickle of water and as soon as they got five metres down the tunnel it turned into a water slide! They screamed and cooed and made lots of weird noises. The water slide turned a sharp corner and Tyler flung over onto his belly and it was so slippery that he couldn’t get back up and he started drowning. Shane jammed his legs in the side and stopped them going down any further. Tyler lifted Shane’s head just in time. Shane spluttered and started choking. Suddenly they turned a sharp corner and hit the water at the bottom of the slippery tunnel. Shane and Tyler started to tread water. Suddenly they were swept away by a current...taking them towards a waterfall! Think Shane, think, thought Shane. “Yes, I got it!” yelled Shane. ‘Tyler, grab my foot. Whatever you do don’t let go!’ Tyler did as he was told. The current turned a corner and sent them reeling into the riverbank. Shane couldn’t pull up Tyler so he grabbed on to the side and monkeyed his way across. Ok there is a brown log over there, so if I can let go I can quickly grab the log and pull us up and…thought Shane. But when Shane looked back at his foot, he found that Tyler wasn’t there. He turned his head to see Tyler floating down the stream…unconscious! Shane pulled himself up on to the log and climbed on to the floor. He raced into the forest and came out with a vine. There was a tree up ahead of Tyler. Shane climbed the tree and tied one end to a branch. Tyler floated under the tree and Shane (without thinking) swang down and scooped up Tyler and swang to the edge of the river and jumped on to the land. He laid Tyler down on the wet muddy bank. He noticed that Tyler wasn’t breathing. Shane knew what he had to do, but he wasn’t keen on doing it. He would have to do mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Shane’s lips were only 3cm away from Tyler’s cold blue mouth when Tyler suddenly opened his eyes and yelled ‘Get off me you gaybro!!’ Shane quickly jumped up and shuddered. Tyler ran to the river and started gagging and gurgling. ‘Right, we need to build a place to stay in; we need food and fresh water. Tyler, go and gather sticks. And I mean big ones, ok. I’m going to gather that hay. Stay close to the river bank and scream if something happens, ok!’ demanded Shane. ‘Yeah, sure whatever,’ replied Tyler. Tyler walked of upstream and picked up this huge stick. He suddenly screamed and dropped the stick. ‘There is a SPIDER!’ Shane rolled his eyes and kept walking. He bent over and picked up handfuls of hay. He looked back at Tyler who was killing the spider with a rock and was gasping. Time passed quickly and it was one hour later. Tyler had gathered five sticks and Shane had gathered fifteen handfuls of hay. ‘Um… Tyler can you quickly grab those two sticks over there, because we need seven altogether.’ Tyler obediently walked over and picked them up. When he came back Shane asked him if he could fetch a vine. ‘Thanks a tonne!’ Shane dug two holes and stuck a stick in one of them diagonally, then covered it up. He did the same to the other one. Then he tied the two ends of the stick up with a bit of the vine. Two hours later Shane had built a hut and had just finished making beds out of leaves. ‘Done Shane. I’ve finished the bucket’ puffed Tyler. Shane nodded and stood up to stretch. ‘Now we have to look for the food. There are some herbs and root vegetables near the riverbank and fish and lobster in the river.’ ‘I’ll get the herbs and stuff’ sighed Tyler. Shane made a fishing rod and caught 3 fish. Shane built a fire and put the fish in the bucket. He wrapped the vegetables in some leaves and put them in the fire. Then he took them out of the hot fire and started eating. Tyler fell asleep so Shane had to carry him to bed. Shane put out the fire and closed the hay door. He got into bed and soon fell into a deep sleep. Shane awoke to hear someone coughing and sneezing. He looked at Tyler’s bed and saw that he wasn’t there. He got up and went outside. He couldn’t see Tyler anywhere! Then he saw someone, or something disappear into the bush. He tripped over something and he picked it up. It was a paralysing dart. Oh no Tyler has been kidnapped. He saw footprints in the mud. He would have to take a chance and follow them. Maybe it would lead him to Tyler and then again, maybe not. He set off to find Tyler. He busted his way through the jungle. Suddenly he heard singing in a foreign language. Shane looked through bushes and saw Tyler hanging over a fire. He climbed the tree for a better look. Suddenly he had an idea. He grabbed onto a vine and swang down onto the ground. They whole tribe glared at him,’ hi…I...e.…see.’ muttered Tyler, still drowsy from the dart. Suddenly BANG.’WE KNOW YOUR IN THERE!” boomed a voice, outside of the bushes around the tribe’s huts. All of the tribe members seemed scared and ran away to hide behind the largest hut. ‘What is going on? Why are you running?’ asked Shane. BANG, BOOM, BANG! A loud horrendous noise filled the air. Suddenly Shane’s question was answered within seconds. A huge hideous ‘thing’ walked through the bushes. Luckily, it didn’t see Shane so he had time to run and join the tribe. The creature had huge green eyes that looked like patches of fungus, its face was like a pig and it had a humongous body. Shane knew he had to do something so he used his special talent. Animal noises. He looked at the Chief of the tribe. He spoke to the Chief in English and surprisingly he understood. ‘What is the ‘thing’ most scared of?’ ‘Giraffe. Very scary for him’ replied the chief. ‘Now I have a plan. So everyone stay very quiet,’ whispered Shane. Then it hit hit him. The monster still hadn’t seen Tyler. Shane whispered to him. ‘Hey Tyler, I have a plan. All you have to do is say - ‘you had better run because there’s lots of Giraffes in this area.’ Then I make a giraffe noise and just say anything about some Giraffes in this area, ok’ murmured Shane. ‘Why?’ said Tyler. Shane hissed, ‘just do it!’ The monster eventually saw Tyler. Tyler was scared and you could see him trying not scream. ‘I would go if I was you. Cause there is lots of Giraffes in this area’ the monster stared at him as if to say ‘Giraffes?’ Shane made a perfect Giraffe noise. ‘ARRGH!! RUN!!!!!’ The monster fled and didn’t look like he was going to come back again. The tribe all jumped up and crowded around them. They untied Tyler and cheered. ‘Thankyou! You saved us and as a tribute we want to give you three of our warriors. Is there anything else we can do for you?’ asked the chief. ‘Yes, we need a map to get to the castle’ replied Shane. ‘As you wish’ said the chief and he clapped his hands two times. Some people came out and brought a map with them. ‘We are ever so sorry, but we must go’ Shane explained. ‘Very well, take these three warriors. Come and see us again, ok. Bye-Bye’ yelled the chief. ‘See ya’ said Shane and Tyler and with that they turned and walked back through the jungle with the three warriors trailing behind them. They had been walking for ages when Tyler cut his leg open. ‘AGGHHRR! MY LEG!’ screamed Tyler at the top of his lungs. One of the warriors pulled out a First Aid Kit and bandaged it up. ‘I forgot to tell you that I am a doctor’ said one of the warriors. He picked up Tyler and they kept going. Ahead of them lay a scorching desert. Shane sighed and but decided to carry on. The sun was beaming down on them, which was causing Tyler to whine. Shane was getting tired and very sunburned. He was beginning to see mirages. He shook his head and ignored them. Finally they came to the end of the desert. They were relived that it wasn’t hot anymore. But then they saw that up ahead there were two mountains covered in snow. The all knew what they had to do so they kept walking. As soon as they set foot on the mountain they were all freezing cold. They kept walking up the mountains and they all ran down the last one. All of the snow was gone and up ahead was a raging river. They all walked to the edge of the river and tried to figure out how to get across. Then Shane had an idea. There were some long logs by the river. Shane ran to them and picked one up and laid it across the river so that you could just walk across to the other side. But one log was too thin so he grabbed the other one. The warriors figured out what he was doing and helped except the one, which was holding Tyler because Tyler would get dirty and hid leg might get infected. So they laid the other one across too. They all walked across the log very carefully. When they got to the other side they sat down on the grass and rested for ten minutes before they continued their journey. Finally they came to a castle. ‘Here it is. Princess Tiana’s Castle. Ok. I’m going in. but first, we need a plan to get in’ puffed Shane. Then he looked at a tall palm tree. It was right next to the castle. He climbed the palm tree and jumped on the roof of the castle. He climbed through the chimney. He walked cautiously through the castle and went through a chamber. Inside was Princess Tiana along with a freezing machine. She was standing right next to it. He ran in opened in and pushed her into it and closed the door. She froze immediately and he ran off to find Peri. As he turned the corner he found a freezing bomb. He slipped it in his pocket and turned yet another corner only to find Peri. They hugged and ran together to find a way out of the castle. Shane let Peri lead them out and soon they were outside. By now all of the guards were chasing them. Shane turned to throw the freezing bomb and it froze the entire castle and along with the guards. They all ran into town as fast as they could. ‘Here we have provided a way home for you’ said one of the Warriors. Shane, Peri and Tyler all stared at the ship. ‘Wow! Thanks’ they said together as they climbed on to the ship and took off. They sped off into the night and they landed back on Earth in no time at all. As they got out of the ship Sebastian asked ‘Where have you been?’ and they replied ‘It’s a long story!’
